State Film Lab uses extreme care and professional equipment when handling film and other photographic materials. We value quality work and customer satisfaction. Please let us know if you have questions about our process.

1) General Order Processing

By submitting photographic materials to State Film Lab, You [the customer] authorize State Film Lab to handle and process the materials according to Your specifications while using our best professional judgment. You agree to our Blank Roll Policy (see FAQ page for policy details). In the event of damages or loss due to any fault or negligence of State Film Lab, You are entitled to replacement up to the amount paid for the compromised service. For example, if one roll of film is damaged in an order of 10 rolls, the liability limit of State Film Lab is the amount paid for the one damaged roll. Prices are subject to change without notice and can be viewed here.

2) Uncontrollable Circumstances

When submitting Your photographic materials to State Film Lab, You assume the risk that certain circumstances are beyond State Film Lab’s control. In the event of damages or loss due to uncontrollable circumstances, State Film Lab will not be liable for any loss or damages. Uncontrollable Circumstances include but are not limited to natural disaster, fire, theft, loss in mail transit, et. al. If a loss occurs before the service is rendered, State Film Lab will refund the amount paid for incomplete services. State Film Lab is not liable for any amount beyond the price paid for incomplete services. In the event of loss after services are rendered, State Film Lab will not be liable for any refunds.

3) Digital File Handling

By ordering any of our scanning services, You authorize State Film Lab to upload Your digital images to a secure cloud-based server in order to deliver the digital property to You. If You do not wish to receive digital files via a secure cloud service, You must contact State Film Lab prior to placing the order to choose an alternate delivery method. After any scanning service is rendered and delivered to You, State Film Lab is not liable for archiving Your digital files. You are responsible for saving and backing up the digital files.
